07/18/2025, 12:00The Director of the Veterinary, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, Ulugbek Kozhobbergenov, held a working meeting with the heads of the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyz State Breeding Plant and its regional branches.
The enterprise recently became part of the Service, and during the meeting, an assessment was made of the current situation and the work done. Participants discussed key issues in the functioning of breeding farms, including the provision of pastures and feed, animal identification, renewal of the breeding stock and measures to improve breeding work.
Based on the discussion, proposals were developed to address pressing issues. Branch managers were tasked with developing individual development plans for each farm.
As of today, the total livestock population of the Kyrgyz State Breeding Farm is as follows: 10,395 sheep, 2,310 goats and 83 horses.
The breeding enterprise consists of nine branches.
The meeting was an important step towards strengthening and modernising livestock breeding, as well as improving the efficiency of state-owned breeding farms.
