10/06/2026, 18:03Bakyt Sydykov, Special Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for Special Assignments, chaired a regular working meeting of the interagency working group tasked with identifying unscrupulous participants in foreign economic activity and transactions involving heightened sanctions risks.
The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and commercial banks.
As part of efforts to minimise sanctions risks and prevent the Kyrgyz Republic’s banking system from becoming involved in transactions showing signs of circumvention of applicable sanctions restrictions, approximately 35 legal entities were identified whose activities are associated with heightened sanctions and compliance risks.
Taking into account the further tightening of international sanctions regimes and the increased attention paid by international partners to entities’ activities that may be linked to the circumvention of established restrictions, the interagency working group decided that these legal entities should be liquidated in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.
In this regard, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted a reasoned request to the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic to initiate, in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law, the compulsory liquidation of these legal entities in order to minimise sanctions risks.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic will continue its work to improve interagency cooperation and take measures aimed at reducing sanctions risks and protecting the economic interests of the Kyrgyz Republic.
