09/23/2026, 12:56Seed-producing farms in Kyrgyzstan have begun selling certified winter cereal seeds for the 2027 harvest. This was reported by the Department for the Assessment of Agricultural Crops and Horticulture under the Ministry of Agriculture.
Seeds of winter wheat, barley and triticale are available for general sale.
Winter wheat: ‘Bagrat’, ‘Intensivnaya’, ‘Alekseich’, ‘Dordoy-16’, ‘Timiryazevka 150’, ‘Kyyal’, ‘Asr’, ‘Steklovidnaya 24’, ‘Cornetto’, ‘Yuka’, ‘Pobeda-75’, ‘Kazakhstanskaya-10’.
Winter barley: ‘Slava’, ‘Vakula’, ‘Adel’, ‘Alta’.
Winter triticale: ‘Tikhon’.
The Ministry noted that certified seeds enable farmers to select varieties suited to the conditions of a particular region and to prepare for the autumn sowing season.
The Ministry of Agriculture recommends sowing within the optimal agronomic timeframe and using seeds whose quality has been confirmed in accordance with established procedures.
