Kyrgyzstan plans to introduce FaceID for obtaining electronic digital signatures and electronic travel authorisations

Kyrgyzstan plans to allow the remote acquisition of electronic digital signatures via FaceID, to phase out paper copies of certificates of completion, and to switch to an electronic format for travel authorisation documents. These initiatives were approved by the Interdepartmental Commission, chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev, on 12 October.

There are also plans to introduce access to notarised documents via the ‘Electronic Notary’ mobile app and to create a government service for verifying the authenticity of passports.

Furthermore, the commission proposed centralising the processing of citizens’ enquiries via call centres and hotlines, introducing a unified risk-based control system called ‘Smart Check’, and streamlining certain procedures in the field of Islamic finance.

These measures are aimed at reducing bureaucracy, developing digital services and simplifying interactions between citizens, businesses and the state.
