03/26/2025, 08:11According to the results of 2024 in the EAEU states in the expenditure part of the budget to finance the social sphere is directed from 32% in Kyrgyzstan to 43% in Armenia. Such data is provided by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Comparison between the member states shows a relatively high share of spending on the national economy in Kazakhstan (30%), on other expenditures in Armenia (27%) and on general government activities in Kyrgyzstan (32%).
Interestingly, a year ago Kyrgyzstan spent more on public activities than on social sphere 34% of all expenditures versus 32%. In 2024, these indicators have equalized due to a decrease in the share of expenditures on public administration. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan still spends less on social spending than its EAEU partners. Thus, in Kazakhstan, social expenditures account for 41% of all government spending, and in Armenia - 43%.
We would like to add that Kyrgyzstan allocates only 20% of all expenditures to the national economy. Compared to 2023, spending on this area increased by 4 percentage points (from 16%). Despite the increase, this indicator is lower than in Kazakhstan, but 13 percentage points higher than in Armenia.
