10/23/2026, 10:23Starting January 1, 2027, Kyrgyzstan will increase a number of social benefits, pensions, and compensation payments. In particular, the minimum disability pension for certain military personnel will be set at 12,300 KGS, and mothers awarded the “Baatyry Ene” Order will receive an additional 5,000 KGS per month on top of their pension.
President Sadyr Zhaparov signed the corresponding decree on October 21, 2026.
According to the document, the government must increase pensions by raising the base portion of payments. Disability pensions for citizens with Group I disability must be raised to 9.5 KGS, and for citizens with Group III disability—to 5,000 KGS.
Additionally, starting in 2027, participants in the cleanup efforts following the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident and other accidents at nuclear facilities will receive monthly compensation of 1,000 KGS in addition to their pensions.
Furthermore, the decree provides for a revision of the amounts of monthly social benefits, supplementary social benefits, and monetary compensation in lieu of benefits for certain categories of citizens. The specific amounts of these payments are listed in the appendices to the document.
All payments provided for in the decree will be financed from the national budget.
The decree takes effect on January 1, 2027.
