In Kyrgyzstan, participation in elections will be counted towards pensionable service

In Kyrgyzstan, the period during which citizens take part in voting in presidential and parliamentary elections will be counted towards their pensionable service. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the relevant amendments. This was reported in the newspaper Erkin Too.

The resolution was signed on 7 October 2026. According to the document, the Social Fund will receive information on citizens’ participation in voting via the ‘Tündük’ digital interaction system.

If it is not possible to obtain the data via the system, the Social Fund will request it directly from the authorised body responsible for conducting elections and referendums.

Confirmation of participation in the election is required for the voting period to be included in the insurance record. The decree will come into force 15 days after its official publication.
