Agricultural production has increased in Kyrgyzstan thanks to livestock farming

In the first three months of 2025, agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan grew by 2.5% compared to the same period last year. The total output of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries amounted to almost KGS 42 billion.

The livestock sector made the main contribution to growth, accounting for more than 98% of all agricultural production. Crop production accounted for only 1%, fishing for 0.2%, and related services for 0.7%.

As before, most of the production came from peasant and private subsidiary farms, which accounted for almost 95%.

This growth indicates stability in the agricultural sector and the physical availability of food in the country in terms of both quantity and quality.
