11/05/2025, 16:39In 2024, there were 5,724 companies with foreign capital in Kyrgyzstan, an increase of 1,460 compared to 2023.
Most enterprises are in wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair — 2,757 enterprises. There are 649 enterprises in industry, of which 504 are manufacturing enterprises. There are also 520 enterprises in professional, scientific and technical activities.
The fewest enterprises are registered in water supply and waste treatment (14), arts and entertainment (38), and energy (40).
In 2024, enterprises with foreign investment provided jobs for 63,028 people, which is slightly more than in 2023 (60,941).
The volume of foreign direct investment reached $1.03 billion, which is higher than the 2023 investment figure ($844.9 million), but still lower than the record level of 2022 ($1.2 billion).
The volume of industrial production of enterprises with foreign participation in 2024 amounted to 179.6 billion KGS, which is 32% more than a year earlier.
Exports grew to $895.9 million, and imports to $2.26 billion.
