Kyrgyzstan celebrated Entrepreneur's Day and the 25th anniversary of the holiday

A ceremony dedicated to Entrepreneur's Day on 20 September and the 25th anniversary of the holiday was held at Yntymak Ordo. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev.

In his speech, he congratulated entrepreneurs on behalf of the president and the government and noted the positive changes in the country's economy. According to him, over the past three years, Kyrgyzstan's GDP has been growing at a rate of at least 9% annually, and in 2025, the average monthly economic growth was 11.5%. At the same time, the base inflation rate fell from 14% to 4.7%.

‘Growth in the construction industry reached 42%, and in industry - 10%. Every year, about 100 new industrial facilities are opened in the country. By Independence Day, 76 enterprises were put into operation, and by the end of the year, it is planned to open another 134,’ Torobaev said.

He added that today there are over 460,000 small and medium-sized businesses registered in Kyrgyzstan. To support them, preferential credit projects are being implemented — ‘Urgent Support for MSMEs’ and ‘Agricultural Financing — 12-13.’

‘The government's policy is based on dialogue with business. Only through the joint efforts of the state, entrepreneurs and society can we make the country's economy sustainable and competitive,’ the minister stressed.

The Deputy Prime Minister also announced new initiatives: issuing ‘service passports’ to entrepreneurs for conducting foreign economic activity, awarding the title of ‘Honoured Entrepreneur,’ creating a National Consortium, developing exports under the ‘Made in Kyrgyzstan’ brand, and introducing digital technologies.

Special emphasis was placed on the development of the creative economy. In 2023, the Creative Industries Park began operating, which already brings together 110 residents — companies and entrepreneurs from the fields of design, IT, animation, music and cinema. In addition, the High-Tech Park had 477 residents in 2024.

At the end of the celebration, successful entrepreneurs were presented with state and departmental awards.
