The ‘Nukura Pro’ project will be established on the basis of the ‘Ekoproduct Asia’ enterprise and is aimed at replacing imported products. The plant will be able to produce up to 1,000 tonnes of milk and 100 tonnes of cream per month, with domestic products estimated to be approximately 30% cheaper than their imported equivalents.
Over $5.5 million has already been invested in the project, and the total funding is approaching $10 million. Once operational, the plant will be able to meet up to 25% of domestic demand for dairy products and expand exports to EAEU countries.
The production facility will be equipped with modern technology, which will extend the shelf life of milk and improve its quality. In particular, the shelf life of pasteurised milk will increase to 28 days, and that of ultra-pasteurised products to 9 months.
Particular attention is being paid to supporting farmers – up to 1,000 farms in the Chui Region will be involved in supplying raw materials. The plant will also create around 70 jobs and contribute to the development of the country’s processing industry.
