A state-owned enterprise called ‘Kyrgyz Taza Suu’ is to be established in Kyrgyzstan to develop the water supply system

The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers has decided to establish the state-owned enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Taza Suu’, which will be responsible for developing the drinking water supply and wastewater disposal systems. The authorities have also instructed officials to draw up a five-year plan to ensure a supply of clean water for every village.

The decision was taken on 21 October at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev. The new enterprise will operate under the Department for the Development of Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal.

According to the Prime Minister, it is essential to ensure the quality of construction work on water supply facilities and that deadlines are met. The funds allocated for these purposes must yield tangible results.

The resolution will come into force 10 days after its official publication.
