An organising committee will be set up in Kyrgyzstan to prepare for the 2028 Olympics

Kyrgyzstan is to draw up a comprehensive plan to prepare athletes for the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. This task was assigned to the Agency for Physical Culture and Sport following a meeting chaired by Ulan Mamatkanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the meeting, participants reviewed the Kyrgyz national team’s performance at the 20th Asian Games and discussed the training of young athletes, the selection of participants and the acquisition of the necessary number of Olympic and Paralympic licences.

In addition, instructions were given to set up an organising committee to prepare for the Games and to develop measures to improve state support for athletes. The aim is to ensure systematic preparation of the national team for the 2028 international competitions.
