Kyrgyzstan simplifies public services and speeds up land registration

Kyrgyzstan continues to implement the Government Accelerators programme. Recently, the results of two new reforms aimed at simplifying procedures for citizens and businesses were summarised.

Firstly, the time required to transfer land plots from one category to another has been significantly reduced. Previously, the process took more than a year, but now regulatory documents are reviewed in just three months, and obtaining archaeological reports for sites with historical and cultural heritage objects has been reduced to 30 days.

Secondly, the requirements for notarising copies of documents such as passports, diplomas and birth certificates have been simplified. Previously, notary services cost between 200 and 800 KGS, but now many documents can be submitted via the e-Kyzmat portal, saving citizens time and money, especially in the regions.
