The checks took place from 19 February to 13 March in conjunction with the Main Directorate for Road Safety. During this period, inspectors stopped and inspected 2,829 lorries.
Following the violations identified, 260 reports were drawn up, with fines totalling over 3.5 million KGS. In addition, 46 vehicles were impounded.
As Transport Minister Talantbek Soltobaev noted, the department has been instructed to step up monitoring of heavy goods vehicles, particularly those causing damage to road infrastructure.
According to him, the focus will be not only on recording violations but also on preventing them, as overloading remains one of the key causes of road network deterioration.
