The Ministry of Energy is implementing a number of projects aimed at developing renewable energy sources and strengthening the energy potential of the south of the country.
In the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, construction continues on the small Papan hydroelectric power plant with an installed capacity of 27 MW.
The following work has been completed to date:
- construction of an 8-kilometer temporary access road to the site of the hydroelectric power plant buildings has been completed,
- a plot of land has been allocated for the construction of a water intake in the Papan reservoir basin,
- the procedure for the allocation and transformation of land for the construction of a production complex, including the HPP building and an open switchgear with a voltage of 110 kV (ORU-110 kV), is underway,
- technical conditions for the use of electricity during the construction period have been developed and agreed upon.
- Issues related to the allocation of land for the installation of 110 kV overhead power line supports from the Papansky HPP in the direction of the 110 kV “Uzlovaya-Besh-Moinok” power line are being worked out.
In addition, design and estimate documentation is being developed, a preliminary construction plan has been defined, access to the Papan Reservoir territory has been obtained, and engineering surveys are continuing.
