In Naryn, more than 3,400 square metres of illegally occupied municipal land have been reclaimed

Work is continuing in Naryn to clear municipal land of unauthorised structures and plots occupied without authorisation. As a result of these measures, 3,440.77 square metres of land have been restored to their original condition.

According to the city council, the work is being carried out under Presidential Decree No. 109 ‘On measures to prevent and suppress instances of unauthorised and illegal land occupation’.

As part of the city-wide campaign, 284 citizens have been served with notices requiring them to vacate the illegally occupied land. Once the unauthorised structures have been dismantled, the plots of land will be returned to municipal ownership.

The municipality noted that efforts to identify and reclaim illegally occupied land in Naryn are continuing.
