The KGS strengthened against the rouble and the euro, but weakened against the tenge

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has updated the official exchange rates for foreign currencies as at 5 August. This information is available on the regulator’s website.

The exchange rate for the Kazakh tenge saw the most significant change. It rose from 0.1838 to 0.1853 KGS, an increase of 0.82 per cent.

The Russian rouble, by contrast, fell from 1.0970 to 1.0890 KGS — a decline of 0.73 per cent. The euro fell from 100.7818 to 100.6331 KGS, or by 0.15 per cent. The som has therefore strengthened against both currencies.

The Chinese yuan gained around 0.02 per cent. Its exchange rate rose from 12.9481 to 12.9501 KGS.

The US dollar remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS.
