As part of reforms aimed at modernising and digitising the energy infrastructure, a large-scale reconstruction of the electrical networks is planned in the Naryn region. The project involves the laying and renewal of 66.36 km of SIP-2 and SIP-3 cables with a voltage of 10/0.4 kV.
The work will cover several areas of the region at once. The largest volume is planned in the Naryn district — 16.9 km. In the At-Bashinsky and Kochkor districts, 14 and 14.5 km will be reconstructed, respectively. In the Ak-Talinsky district, 6.8 km of networks will be upgraded, in the Zhumgalsky district — 6.5 km, and in the Toguz-Torousky district — 7.6 km.
The project is financed by OJSC ‘National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan’. Implementation is planned from April to the end of October 2026.
The use of SIP cables will improve the reliability of the power supply. They are resistant to weather conditions, reduce power losses and the number of emergency outages, and also reduce operating costs.
The modernisation is expected to help prepare the Naryn Electric Grid Company for the autumn-winter period, strengthen infrastructure and provide the region's residents with a more stable and secure power supply.
