Illegal land use amounting to 127,000 KGS has been uncovered in the ‘Kyrgyz-Ata’ National Park

Violations relating to land use within the ‘Kyrgyz-Ata’ State Nature Park have been uncovered in the Osh Region. The offenders were fined 34,000 KGS and ordered to pay compensation of 127,300 KGS.

The inspection was carried out by the regional office of the Land and Water Supervision Service following a request from the park administration in the Nookat District.

It emerged that local residents had been using the plots without the necessary permits, after their contracts had expired, or outside the designated areas.

Following the inspection, reports of administrative offences were drawn up. The total fines amounted to 34 thousand KGS, whilst the claimed damages for damage to the soil cover totalled 127,314 KGS.
