07/21/2026, 16:08Construction is underway in the Nookat District on a large-scale mineral fertiliser plant with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tonnes. The project is being implemented in three phases.
The first phase of construction has now been completed, and the administrative building has been officially opened. According to the plan, the plant will begin producing fertiliser in September 2026 and will reach full operational capacity.
The total estimated cost of the project is $260 million. Once the plant reaches full capacity, around 3,000 new jobs will be created, which will significantly expand employment opportunities for the local population.
The implementation of this large-scale project will make a significant contribution to the economic development of the Nookat District and the Osh Region as a whole, ensuring that the agricultural sector is supplied with domestically produced mineral fertilisers and creating new jobs.
