10/02/2026, 09:28In the Oktyabrsky District of Bishkek, five families’ projects have been approved for participation in the social contract programme. The programme provides each family with 150,000 KGS to set up or develop their own business.
The meeting of the commission responsible for reviewing applications and projects took place on 28 September. To date, the commission has considered a total of 14 applications, five of which have been approved.
The approved projects relate to the garment industry, confectionery production and private tuition services. The funds are to be used to purchase the necessary materials and equipment to launch or expand the businesses.
For 2026, a quota of 15 families has been allocated to the Oktyabrsky District to participate in the programme.
The district continues to inform residents about the terms of the social contract, the requirements for applicants and the areas in which projects can be implemented. The programme is designed for families in need of additional social support and aims to increase their income through the development of their own businesses.
