09/02/2026, 13:03Ernest Toltoev, Deputy Mayor of Osh, visited the sites to inspect the progress of construction work on the 12 public gardens, which are due to open in time for City Day.
These areas were previously in a state of neglect. Most of them are situated around old high-rise blocks.
It should be noted that the Mayor of Osh, Zhanarbek Akayev, had previously visited the 12 future public gardens and given the go-ahead for construction work. The new recreational areas are scheduled to open on 5 October, to coincide with Osh City Day.
The new public spaces will feature children’s play areas, benches, lighting and landscaping.
The aim of the project is to create comfortable, safe and green recreational spaces for the city’s residents.
