07/31/2025, 11:00On August 5, 50 new electric cars will arrive in Osh as part of a municipal taxi project. This was announced by Mayor Zhenishbek Toktorbaev at a city council meeting on July 30.
According to the mayor, all the cars are mini-jeeps and crossovers.
“The cars are beautiful and attractive. We will launch the municipal taxi service ourselves, put them on routes, and the income from transportation will go to the city budget,” he said.
The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the city council, Bolot Baetov, deputy mayors, and representatives of state structures and municipal enterprises.
The project will be the first of its kind in the city and is aimed at improving the quality of transport services and supporting the environment.
