A new green space has been created in Osh: 1,300 saplings were planted in a single day

Today, a large-scale greening campaign took place on Aliyev Street in Osh. The project aims to improve the city’s environmental conditions and create new recreational areas and green spaces.

The event was attended by Mayor Zhanarbek Akayev, Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Control Akyl Toktobaev, members of the Jogorku Kenesh, the chairman of the city council, public figures, activists, and representatives of municipal services.

The mayor noted the lack of green spaces and stated that systematic urban greening would become one of the city’s main priorities.

Minister Akyl Toktobaev reported that 9 million trees are planned to be planted nationwide by 2026 and praised Osh’s initiatives.

During the event, comprehensive landscaping work was carried out: approximately 1,300 seedlings of six species of ornamental and shade trees were planted. These initiatives are aimed at beautifying the city, ensuring environmental sustainability, and creating a comfortable environment for residents.
