Two retail and logistics centres have been launched in Osh

Two large retail and logistics centres, designed for the storage and sale of agricultural produce, have been launched in Osh. This was reported by the city council.

One of the facilities is the ‘Asia Organics’ trade and logistics centre, located in the village of Teleikon. Its official opening took place on 12 September, with President Sadyr Zhaparov participating online.

The centre has a capacity of 1,000 tonnes. Agricultural produce can be stored here at temperatures ranging from -45 to +5 degrees.

Fruit and vegetables are sourced from local farmers, after which they are sorted in accordance with European standards and flash-frozen. The finished products are exported to Russia.

The project has created 50 permanent jobs, and it is planned to provide work for around 500 people during the peak season.

The second facility is the ‘EKO Azyk’ trade and logistics centre in the village of Kenesh. Its design capacity is 2,000 tonnes of produce per year.

Once the project is completed, more than 200 permanent jobs will be created here.
