According to the Ministry of Economy and Trade, 7.7 thousand tonnes of vegetables were harvested from 405 hectares of vegetable crops. This is 4.6 per cent more than in the same period of 2025.
In addition, 277 tonnes of produce were harvested from 12 hectares of melon and watermelon crops. Compared with last year, the volume has increased 1.6-fold.
The harvest of fruit and berry crops totalled 2,000 tonnes, which is 9.3 per cent higher than the figure for the same period last year.
Growth was also recorded in livestock farming. Between January and July, the region produced 14,200 tonnes of meat (live weight), which represents 101.6 per cent of last year’s level.
Milk production reached 45,200 tonnes, an increase of 1.1 per cent. Egg production totalled 16.34 million eggs — 1.3 per cent more than a year earlier.
The increase in production volumes is attributed, in particular, to growth in the livestock population and the number of poultry.
