09/22/2024, 14:27The Kyrgyz-Chinese Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation was opened in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Water Resources and Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev and Governor of Shaanxi Province of China Zhao Gang, as well as heads of government agencies of the two countries.
The total area of the Center is 1,000 square meters. Conditions have been created here for holding exhibitions of Kyrgyz products, obtaining information about the country, and organizing businessmen's bilateral meetings.
Xi'an City Hall provided the area for the Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation to Kyrgyzstan free of charge for three years.
"The trade centre and pavilion will become a stimulus for the development of trade turnover between the two countries, and Chinese consumers will be able to get acquainted with the Kyrgyz products. I express my gratitude to the Chinese side for this opportunity”, - Bakyt Torobaev noted.
The opening ceremony was followed by a business forum with the participation of heads of delegations from both sides and more than 200 companies from Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province.
Representatives of Kyrgyz and Chinese government agencies working in the spheres of economy, investment and tourism, as well as entrepreneurs made presentations on investment opportunities in industry, tourism, transportation and agriculture and presented their projects.
As a result of the forum, several investment agreements were signed between government agencies and entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan and China.
In addition, Bakyt Torobaev met with Zhang Wenqi, Head of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. to discuss cooperation in the mining sector and prospects in the processing industry.
