The international STAT.DATATHON-2026 competition is being held in the CIS countries for the first time

Citizens of CIS countries aged 35 or under will be able to take part in the STAT.DATATHON-2026 international data competition. Registration has already begun and will run until 18 September.

The competition is being organised for the first time by the National Statistics Bureau of Kazakhstan, with the support of the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee.

Participants will be tasked with finding innovative, data-driven solutions to socio-economic and methodological challenges. Teams must consist of 2–5 people.

The official opening of the competition will take place on 21 September, whilst the final and the announcement of the results are scheduled for 20 October 2026.

The National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan is calling on young professionals, representatives of universities, and IT and research organisations to take part.
