Work has begun in Toktogul on a project to loop the water supply network

Work is beginning in Toktogul on a new project to loop the water supply network, aimed at improving the quality and ensuring an uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the local population.

In the first phase of the project, it is planned to lay a water supply network with a total length of 4 kilometres using modern polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 225 millimetres (Ф225 SDR17).

During the laying of the water pipes, particular attention will be paid to streets where asphalt laying and repair works are planned. This will prevent further damage to the road infrastructure in the future and ensure that the work is carried out in a systematic manner.

Preparatory work has now commenced as part of the initial scope of works. Additional work orders for the remaining sections will be issued in stages as the work progresses.

The introduction of a looping system will stabilise the pressure in Toktogul’s water supply network, improve the resilience of the water supply system and prevent emergencies.

Full implementation of the project will enhance the capacity to provide the city’s residents with an uninterrupted supply of high-quality drinking water.
