07/11/2026, 18:00A toll has been introduced in Kyrgyzstan for passage through the Kok-Art Tunnel. The revenue from the tolls will be used to maintain the tunnel and service its engineering systems.
According to the newspaper ‘Erkin Too’, the toll for passenger cars is 100 soms, and 200 soms for foreign and transit vehicles.
For other categories of transport, tariffs range from 250 to 1,000 soms for local hauliers and from 1,000 to 5,000 soms for foreign and transit vehicles, depending on the type and load capacity of the vehicle.
The funds raised will be used to ensure the smooth operation of the tunnel, including the maintenance of lighting, ventilation, CCTV, fire safety, emergency communications and other engineering systems.
To prevent traffic congestion and increase throughput, eight lanes have been set up at the toll station.
The Kok-Art Tunnel is one of Kyrgyzstan’s largest infrastructure projects, providing year-round transport links along a strategically important section of the motorway.
