In the Zhayyl district, the former building of the Kara-Baltin sewing workshop has been returned to the state balance sheet

As part of measures to identify and return illegally privatised industrial and social facilities to state ownership, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has returned the building of the former Kara-Baltin sewing workshop to the state.

The total area of the workshop is reported to be 12,400 square metres.

It has been established that in 1992, citizen ‘I.R.I.’, who was the director of the Kara-Baltin sewing workshop, bypassed the requirements of the Kyrgyz Republic's legislation prohibiting the privatisation of social facilities and privatised this facility to a close relative.

As a result of the measures taken, the owner of the sewing workshop, aware of the illegality of his ownership of the property, voluntarily returned it to the state.
