The VI World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan will bring together 43 national sports

The VI World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. According to Kazybek Moldazhiev, director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the competition program includes 43 national sports.

About 100 countries are expected to participate in the Games, making the upcoming event one of the largest international sports and cultural forums in the region.

According to Moldazhiev, the opening ceremony of the Games will be timed to coincide with the anniversary summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The opening is planned to be held in Bishkek at the new Bishkek Arena stadium, which is currently under construction and will be able to accommodate more than 50,000 spectators.

The main part of the sports competitions will take place in Cholpon-Ata, where four specialized locations will be used to host the Games.

Hosting the World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan once again highlights the country's role as a center for the preservation and promotion of nomadic culture, as well as strengthening its position in the international sports and cultural arena.
