This was announced by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
Currently, there are a number of problems in the wool processing industry. In order to resolve these issues, 913.5 million soms are being considered for the revitalization and commissioning of the Kasiet carding and spinning factory located in the city of Tokmok. Work is also underway to increase the number of Merino sheep for the subsequent processing of fine wool.
“In addition, there are serious problems in the leather processing sector. As is well known, the skins of slaughtered animals are often discarded and not used. To address this problem, construction has begun on a large leather processing plant in the Issyk-Kul region, which will focus on processing raw materials and reducing waste,” said Bakyt Torobaev.
