A key decision was to reorient the scientific sector towards applied tasks. This involves a reform to optimise the network of scientific organisations and strengthen their links with universities and business. Research is to be directed towards the specific needs of the economy and social development.
Particular emphasis has been placed on workforce training. The government has been tasked with developing a systematic training model in priority areas, including artificial intelligence, digital technologies and engineering disciplines, taking into account future labour market demand.
Other measures include the development of educational loan schemes and the expansion of support measures for students. At the same time, the aim is to prevent any increase in the cost of tuition.
In addition, the Cabinet intends to accelerate the implementation of initiatives to build student halls of residence and promote student mobility between regions.
