06/06/2025, 18:02During a working visit to Nizhny Novgorod to participate in the CIPR-2025 international conference, Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies Azamat Zhamangulov met with Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos State Corporation.
During the talks, the prospects for cooperation in the field of satellite communications were discussed. The minister noted that, in accordance with the new regulations on the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, the department has been assigned expanded functions, including coordination in the field of satellite communications.
«Until now, there has been no separate regulatory mechanism in the field of satellite communications in the country. This is a new area for us, and we are particularly interested in studying the experience of the Russian Federation and establishing a sustainable professional dialogue with Roscosmos», — emphasised Azamat Zhamankulov.
Director General Dmitry Bakanov noted that the aerospace company Bureau 1440 is working on the creation of a low-orbit satellite system for broadband data transmission and is ready to share its technological developments and provide support in training specialists.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to prepare and sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan and Roscosmos State Corporation as soon as possible.
