Anti-dumping Duty on Galvanized Steel from China and Ukraine Extended for Five Years

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to extend the anti-dumping duty on galvanized rolled steel from China and Ukraine until June 9, 2030, inclusive.

“The decision was made following a repeat anti-dumping investigation launched by the Department for the Protection of the Domestic Market on September 2, 2024, in connection with the expiry of the measure in force, based on a complaint from producers of rolled steel from the Eurasian Economic Union,” said EEC Trade Minister Andrei Slepnev.

The investigation was initiated based on a request from steel producers in the Eurasian Economic Union, in particular from such large companies as Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, and Severstal.

The anti-dumping duty on galvanized rolled steel from China and Ukraine was established in accordance with the decision of the EEC Board on December 3, 2019. The duty on rolled products from China ranges from 12.69% to 17% of the customs value, depending on the manufacturer, and on rolled products from Ukraine — 23.9% of the customs value.
