03/16/2026, 09:48According to preliminary estimates, Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product in January–February 2026 amounted to 264 billion soms. This is an increase of 8.8% compared to the same period in 2025.
Several sectors drove economic growth. The industrial sector saw a significant increase in the production of chemical products (3.1 times), pharmaceuticals (1.7 times), as well as rubber and plastic products, construction materials, wood and paper products, and printing (1.6 times).
Production also increased in the sectors of transportation equipment (by 42.4%), food products and tobacco products (by 16.8%), refined petroleum products (by 18.2%), base metals (by 11.1%), and mining (by 47.2%).
