According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, in 2024, the union's total GDP grew by 4%, outpacing the global average of 3.2% and earlier forecasts. Mutual trade between the countries continues to grow rapidly and could reach $100bn by 2026.
The Council instructed the Eurasian Economic Commission to work with member states to expand financial support for the agro-industrial complex. It is planned to develop proposals for financing the industry from the EAEU budget, as well as possible changes in supranational legislation.
In addition, a report on the development of the union's transport infrastructure for 2022-2024 was presented. About 70% of transit traffic in the EAEU passes through Eurasian transport corridors, which makes their synchronisation a priority.
