02/25/2026, 12:15The Japanese government will provide a grant of up to 1 billion 801 million Japanese yen ($11 million 567 thousand 562.02) for the purchase of goods and services necessary to finance a project to improve medical equipment in hospitals in the southern region.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Temirbek Erkinov at a regular meeting of the ZhK Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Issues.
The grant funds will be used to modernize infrastructure aimed at strengthening capacity in the diagnosis and treatment of non-communicable diseases by providing medical equipment for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and cancer to referral hospitals in the southern regions located in Osh, which will contribute to improving the quality of medical services.
