This was stated by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev, speaking at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format in Cholpon-Ata.
‘The past decade has been difficult, against the backdrop of global challenges and growing protectionism in world trade. Nevertheless, thanks to the joint efforts of governments, close cooperation and active participation of business, we have been able to maintain sustainable economic growth in the Union,’ the head of the Cabinet noted.
He emphasised that the high performance indicators are the result not only of national economic policies, but also of dynamically developing cooperation. He thanked his colleagues for their effective work within the framework of the Intergovernmental Council, the Council and the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
«Over the past 10 years, the Union has emerged as a significant centre of economic development in the global economic architecture. We are developing international cooperation, have concluded seven trade agreements, and are expanding partnerships with key integration associations in Eurasia and other regions», — he noted.
The head of the Cabinet paid special attention to climate issues, the need for flexible and adapted standards in this area, as well as continuing work on implementing the Eurasian Integration Strategy until 2025 and preparing for the next five-year stage.
Adylbek Kasymaliyev highlighted the following key priorities:
«In the context of global transformation, it is necessary to transform the EAEU into a harmoniously developed pole of a multipolar world by 2030, supporting a high level of technological development and prosperity of the population. We are ready to create all the necessary conditions for this», — concluded the Prime Minister.
