For 2024, the republican budget was executed with a surplus of 33 billion 513.8 million soms

The final board meeting of the Ministry of Finance for the year was held. The agenda considered issues on the execution of the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024 and approval of the budget for 2025, upcoming plans and upcoming financial reforms of the ministry, as well as on the implementation and compliance with legislation in the field of civil and service legislation.

Minister Almaz Baketayev in his speech emphasized that in recent years, the country's effective financial policy has played a key role in the restructuring of the domestic economy. At the same time, a stable budget surplus, positive dynamics of economic indicators, rapid development of infrastructure in the social sphere and large-scale reforms in industries continue to improve the state's position in world rankings, being an important incentive to attract the attention of international investors.

Deputy Minister - Director of the Central Treasury Umutzhan Amanbayev in his report on the results of the execution of the republican budget of the country for 2024 and the tasks of the Ministry of Finance for 2025 focused on the expenditures and revenues of the budget for the previous year.

The report states that the total revenues of the state budget for 2024 amounted to 464 billion 5.5 million soms, and total expenditures - 427 billion 148.3 million soms, as a result of which a surplus of 36 billion 857.2 million soms was recorded.

In 2024, the total revenues of the state budget were fulfilled by 101.6%, the growth rate of revenues compared to 2023 was 118.3%.

As for the republican budget for 2024, its revenues amounted to 416 billion 855.8 million soms, while the planned target of 410 billion 588.3 million soms was fulfilled by 101.5%.

The expenditures of the republican budget actually amounted to 383 billion 342 million soms, while the planned target of 404 billion 149.4 million soms was fulfilled by 95%, as a result of which the republican budget was executed with a surplus of 33 billion 513.8 million soms.
