Over the course of a year, Kyrgyz citizens deposited over 56 billion KGS in commercial banks

Kyrgyzstan has become more active in saving money and placing it in bank deposits. According to statistics, commercial banks attracted 56 billion 1.4 million KGS from the population in January–September last year.

This is almost twice as much as in the same period in 2024.

As a result, the total amount of deposits from individuals reached 329.9 billion KGS by October 1. Over the year, it grew by 34.6%. Most of these funds — almost 60% — are held in the national currency. This indicates people's trust in the banking system and the KGS.

The growth in deposits is happening against the backdrop of a difficult economic situation. Nevertheless, as practice shows, banks remain one of the most reliable and understandable ways for ordinary citizens to save their money.
