Fines totalling 48,000 KGS were imposed for the illegal extraction of sand and gravel from the Kok-Art River

Officials from the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, together with representatives from the Department of Law and Order, Public Safety and Emergency Situations, uncovered the illegal extraction of sand and gravel from the Kok-Art riverbed.

According to the department, the offence was recorded in the village of Kyrgyzstan, where Barsbek Kogan Co. LLC was extracting aggregate without the necessary permits.

Following the inspection, an administrative fine of 35,000 KGS was imposed on the company. In addition, an individual involved in the offence was held accountable. The fine amounted to 13,000 KGS.
