11/12/2025, 18:20In January–August 2025, 784,100 tonnes of coal were exported from Kyrgyzstan, which is 17.5% more than in the same period last year.
According to the National Statistical Committee, total exports for the first eight months of 2025 reached 784,121 tonnes, worth $36.3 million. A year earlier, this figure was 666,872 tonnes, worth $29.9 million.
The bulk of this year's shipments went to Uzbekistan — 766,891 tonnes worth $35.7 million. China imported 16,958 tonnes, and Kazakhstan — 272 tonnes.
For comparison, in 2024, the largest importers of Kyrgyz coal were Uzbekistan, China, and European countries — Belgium (14,200 tonnes) and Lithuania (13,900 tonnes).
