During the winter tourist season, Karakol welcomed approximately 265,000 tourists

During the 2025–2026 winter tourist season, approximately 265,000 tourists visited the city of Karakol. This was reported by the city administration.

The Karakol City Administration hosted a meeting of the Tourism Development Council attended by representatives of the tourism sector. At the meeting, the results of 2025 were summarized and plans for 2026 were discussed.

According to the city administration, a total of 264,859 tourists visited Karakol in 2025, of whom 211,199 were part of organized groups and 53,660 were independent travelers. Currently, there are 157 accommodation facilities operating in the city, capable of hosting up to 3,200 tourists per day.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to the accurate collection of tourism statistics, the development of new tourism products, and the strengthening of cooperation between the city administration and business representatives. The structure of the Council for Systematic Tourism Development, which consists of 15 members, was also presented.
