02/03/2026, 12:18In Kyrgyzstan, only architects and technologists earn a salary of 500,000 KGS. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services Talant Imanakun uulu at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee on 3 February.
According to him, the cost of an architect's work is estimated at $15-20 per square metre of project area. Previously, projects were handled by the private sector, but after deputies demanded that ‘projects be done independently,’ a department was created, to which experienced specialists were recruited.
As an example of the effectiveness of the work, he cited Nurlan Choroyev, who received a salary of 477,000 KGS for a topographic survey of an area of 4,823 hectares.
The deputy minister emphasised that not all ministry employees receive such amounts, only architects and technologists, and technologists are necessary for the construction of healthcare facilities, and there are only eight such specialists in the country.
In addition, only 45 ministry employees receive salaries from budget funds, while 2,236 people work on a self-sufficient basis.
