Salaries in the arts sector in Kyrgyzstan have risen by 1.5 times

In January–July 2026, the average monthly nominal gross wage rose across enterprises and organisations in all major sectors of economic activity.

The most significant growth was recorded in the arts, entertainment and recreation sector, where wages increased by 1.5 times. In healthcare and social services, the increase was 46.6 per cent, and in education, 43.3 per cent.

In professional, scientific and technical activities, wages rose by 35.2 per cent, whilst in agriculture, forestry and fishing they rose by 32.9 per cent. In the water supply, sewage and waste management sector, the increase was 29.6 per cent, and in financial intermediation and insurance, 25.0 per cent. 

In construction, the average monthly wage increased by 23.5 per cent; in real estate activities, by 23.8 per cent; and in transport and storage, by 22.7 per cent. In the energy sector, growth stood at 21.0 per cent, and in administrative and support service activities — 20.8 per cent.

In public administration and defence, as well as in the compulsory social security sector, wages rose by 19.7 per cent. In wholesale and retail trade and the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, they rose by 17.2 per cent, whilst in the information and communications sector, they rose by 16.3 per cent.
