A resident of the village of Kok-Kashat exports two varieties of raspberries to Kazakhstan

In 2023, Talantbek Nazarbekov, a resident of the village of Kok-Kashat in the Talas district, planted a raspberry plantation on an area of 1.30 hectares, planting seedlings of the varieties «Royal Penguin» and «Monomakh's Cap». These varieties are distinguished by their early ripening and juicy taste.

This season, the raspberries yielded a bumper crop, with up to 200 kilograms of berries harvested from a single picking. Part of the produce is sold on the domestic market, and the rest is exported to Kazakhstan. To preserve their quality, the berries are stored in refrigerated chambers and delivered to consumers in compliance with temperature requirements.

The Talas District Agricultural Development Administration conducted on-site monitoring and provided recommendations on proper pruning of bushes, optimisation of the drip irrigation system, and preparation of plantings for the next season.
