Residents of Osh and Manas were told how to become shareholders in Apple, Amazon and Tesla

Educational master classes on investing were held in the cities of Osh and Manas, organised by Freedom Broker in conjunction with the Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service. The events attracted hundreds of residents from southern regions interested in modern opportunities for managing personal finances and investing.

The main focus of the meetings was to show citizens that investing in the world's largest companies is no longer an inaccessible privilege. Freedom Broker experts told participants how Kyrgyz citizens can legally become shareholders in Apple, Amazon, Tesla, and invest in the securities of domestic companies such as Airports of Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyzneftegaz, and other issuers.

The master classes explained in detail:

• how the stock market works and what instruments are available to private investors;
• how to buy shares in the world's largest corporations through licensed brokers;
• how to build an investment portfolio depending on your goals and risk level;
• how to check a brokerage company's licence to protect your money;
• what opportunities international financial markets offer to citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

In Osh, Dastan Nazekov, a leading specialist of the South Territorial Administration of the Financial Supervision Authority, spoke to the participants about the work of the regulator and safety rules for novice investors.

In Manas, chief specialist Zhanibek Ergeshev presented information about the activities of the Financial Supervision Authority in the region.

After the theoretical part, participants received practical recommendations and were able to open individual investment accounts on the spot — a first for many of them.
